Step twoAdd lyrics
Read this before you paste your lyrics in — it decides whether the timing comes out right.
  • Lines sung together go on the same line. If two lines are sung at once — a duet, a harmony, an echo — type them together on one line, not on two separate ones.
  • A musical gap needs a blank line. Even a short instrumental break between two sung lines needs an empty line in between to hold that space.
Skip either of these and the automatic timing drifts — every line after the mistake lands early or late, garbling the timing for the rest of the video.
One line per cue, in the order they are sung. Repeat a line wherever the chorus comes back. Only the lyrics themselves — no Suno-style tags like [Verse], [Chorus] or [Bridge]. Every line you enter here becomes an on-screen cue, timed to a moment in the song — automatic timing matches each one to where it's actually sung. A tag like [Chorus] is never sung, so it would either get timed to a real line (throwing that line off) or show up on screen as its own caption. Leave song-structure notes out and paste in the words only.

Don't have one yet? Time the lines yourself, free, in Lyric Sync — or skip this and generate the free preview in Step four; automatic timing runs on its own from there.
Step threeBrief description of the song
Theme, mood, feeling, genre. A few lines is plenty. It helps the automatic timing follow the song, and it tells us what you're after if we build the video for you.
Step fourCheck the timing
A free black-screen preview generates first, for every song — play it and check the timing before anything else gets built. Something off? Go back to Step two, fix the lyric formatting, and preview again. Want background images instead of black? Add them in Step seven — the build upgrades to the Story version automatically.
Black is not the cheap option — it is two things at once. Upload it exactly as it comes, and it is a finished lyric video. Or take it into CapCut, drop it on top of footage you shot yourself and set the blend mode to Screen: the black disappears and only the lyrics stay, riding over your own picture. Either way the export carries the song's audio, so mute whichever layer you don't want.
Preview & validate
Add your song (Step one) and your lyrics (Step two) above, then generate a free black-screen preview to check the timing.
Step fiveReference images
Optional, no extra charge — upload up to two photos of the same face or character and every AI-generated image in this build (the thumbnail in Step six and the background scenes in Step seven) will keep them consistent, instead of inventing a different face each time. Leave both empty and AI images stay generic scenery, exactly as before. Nothing to do here if you’re uploading your own thumbnail art and photos. You’ll be asked to confirm you have the necessary approvals before a photo is used.
No reference images added yet — AI images will stay generic scenery, same as before.
Step sixThumbnail
Your own artwork, or a cover generated with AI — 10 credits per generation, up to five. Generate a few and pick your favourite.
It opens the video, and you can download it as the YouTube thumbnail.
Step sevenBackground images
Optional — add any to upgrade automatically to the Story build. Upload your own photos, generate scenes with AI, or both — everything you keep lands in the same pool below. 8 images per AI batch, 40 credits a batch, up to three batches (24 images); up to 20 of your own. Uncheck any you don't want to keep. Leave this empty to keep the black background.
No images added yet — add your own, generate with AI below, or both.
not generated yet
Built from your brief and lyrics above — cinematic, story-driven scenes, never a photo of a real person. No text is drawn into them; your lyrics render on top the same way as every other build.
Step eightAdd-ons
Optional — pick neither, one, or both.
Step nineBuild your video
This renders entirely in your own browser — nothing uploads anywhere; the automatic timing already ran during your Step four preview. Keep this tab open and visible until it finishes; switching away can pause it. Story with a full set of images takes longer than an Essential build.
Finish Steps four through seven, then build your video here.
